We want everyone to be able to use Zolution: to compare offers, apply to a provider and manage applications without barriers.

Our target

We build Zolution to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is our target. We do not yet claim that every page meets it, and we fix gaps as we find them.

How we test

Before each stage of Zolution is released, our automated tests check the screens of that stage:

  • At nine screen widths, from 320 to 1,440 pixels, and in desktop windows at 200% browser zoom. Nothing scrolls sideways, nothing is pushed off-screen or cut off, each page has one main heading, and buttons and links are at least the minimum target size that WCAG 2.2 AA sets.
  • With the keyboard only. A "Skip to content" link comes first and works. Every control shows a visible focus outline, focus is never hidden behind other content, and dialogs work without a mouse.

Known gaps

  • Links shown by colour alone. Some links inside grey text are violet without an underline, so they are told apart from the text by colour only (WCAG 2.2, success criterion 1.4.1). It is on our list for the next design update.
  • No screen reader testing yet. We have not yet tested Zolution with screen readers.
  • Some buttons are smaller than our own target. A few controls, such as "Sign out" at 36 pixels high, are below our own 44-pixel aim. They are above the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum.
  • The bot check comes from another company. Forms that send a sign-in code or a request use a bot check from our network provider. It appears only if it needs you to do something. If it stops you, email us and we will help.
